Taj Group rebrands two hotels in London


Tatas-owned hospitality major Taj Group today announced rebranding its two hotels in London as St James’ Court, A Taj Hotel and Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences to promote the properties within group’s portfolio.
While the St James Court has 340 rooms and 21 suites, the Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences has 86 suites and residencies.

The hotels will now be promoted within the Taj Group’s portfolio of luxury hotels, resorts and palaces, and the Taj Group has sole ownership and management, as well as operational and marketing control of both properties,” the company said in a statement.

Commenting on the development, Taj Group Managing Director and CEO Raymond Bickson said: “This important re-branding comes at an exciting time for the increasing strategic links between India and the UK. We are delighted to have the opportunity to restore these iconic hotels that have more than a century of heritage…”

St James’ Court, A Taj Hotel is positioned as an English classic, while the Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences will offer authentic luxury experiences, Taj Group Senior VP Global Sales & Marketing Deepa Harris said.

These hotels have been with the Taj Group since 1982. Centre hotels were running the hotels prior to Taj.

The Tata Group has a strategic presence in Europe, particularly in the UK which is its leading international market.
